Today we had a play date with our friends from PEPS, a parenting group which we joined when Ellie was just weeks old. We are lucky to still stay in touch with a few of the families and today our friend Lacey invited us up for cookie making and decorating. We had such a fun time and the girls are now actually playing together, versus independently next to each other like they had in the past. I love that they've all known each other since they were babies and we have lots of group photos of them through the years.......It was neat to watch them crack up with each other and share a fun morning chatting with two fellow mommas. Our friend Kim also just had her second baby, a sweet boy named Sawyer, and him and Katelyn slept most of the time. Here are some fun pics from our play date:
Ellie being her goofy self
Ellie's cookie. Fun fact, all three girls took a bite out of their cookie before starting any frosting/decorating. As if on cue! Too funny :)
Sorry, blurry iPhone photo. Girls decorating
Grace didn't want to get her shirt dirty so off it went (smart girl), and Cora was very serious about her cookie. Both are such delightful little ladies!
mouthful. By the way, I am thinking of growing Ellie's bangs out......thoughts? Mostly because she is not good at staying still during bang trims, and also because she looks so cute when she gets to show off those beautiful eyes of hers!
You're making cookies? Oh, I'll just sit here quietly he he
My mom knit Katelyn this beautiful sweater and I just had to post a pic. We put it on after our play date as we headed over to U-village for some afternoon shopping. Our first shopping trip (momma and her girls!). Momma got a hoodie at Lulu Lemon, Ellie and Kate got some toys, and we stopped at Glassy Baby to pick up some birthday gifts. No crying, No runny noses or tantrums. Just the girls having fun. I loved today.
In other news, Ellie rode her bike (trike) by herself with no help from me the other day. Trying to upload the video but it isn't working. We need a better computer. Sigh. Hopefully soon.
